We need to hear the voice of the Spirit in this day and age. God knows what we think and sees what we do. He says to the churches in Revelation “I know your works” How sobering to know this, and how should we be living our life with this in mind?

Part of God’s plan for our lives is to put us in situations where if He doesn’t turn up, we’re done. He is working a greater purpose in us! He accepts US where we are, but He does not accept where we are. We need to learn how to respond to Him in faith, allow Him to come into the situation and bring the healing and deliverance that needs to take place.

There is no question whether we should be praying and fasting, the Bible says “when” you pray and fast, not “if”. If we as God’s people got a hold of how vital and integral prayer is in our lives, we wouldn’t need to be stirred up to do it. When we fast, we draw near to God, and God will draw near to us.

When Jesus died on the cross, the Vale in the temple was ripped in two, that was Gods doing. God was saying, I’m changing how things are done, we can now come into the presence of God through the blood of Jesus. God is not looking for a building He is looking for His people, the temple of God.

We don’t want to go through our Christian lives never growing. There is a direct correlation between our spiritual state and the place God’s word has in our lives. It is critical. The word of God determines our destiny.

How well do you know God? The Bible says “but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”. The reality of who God is, is millions of times greater than we can think or imagine. How awesome is our God!

As Christians we have a well within our soul that never runs dry. The enemy tries to plug up and pollute our wells, but God is calling His people to re-dig and reopen the wells. We need to get back to our first love – God, His word, prayer.
