An attitude of gratitude!
As Christians, gratefulness is to be evident in our lives and also touch the lives of others, producing fruit. Gratitude is an attitude not a response; it is a process of development. Gratitude is a choice, if you don’t have it in your life, it is ok; you can develop an attitude of gratitude. Once the realisation of what God has done for you and in your life has set in your heart and mind, the more grateful you will be. Generosity flows from a grateful heart. Gratitude is important for good spiritual and physical health; it helps give you clarity of vision; it is a source of joy and the opposite of bitterness.
Stay connected to God: Spend time and share with God your grateful heart for what He has done, is doing and will do (for you, your family, for moving in this present situation and things that concern you etc.). God sees the big picture, and we can place our trust in Him. What is a crisis for humans is not a crisis for God. He’s got you and all that concerns you. Let’s ask God for sweetness to come from the carcass (Ps. Paul’s sermon, 29.3.20). AskGod what He wants to do in your life. Ask God to workthrough you to speak into others lives!
Stay connected with your family: During this week, take time to share with each member of your household, something you are grateful for about them. If you live alone connect with a family member, or if you live with others, connect with the ones you live with, and share something you are grateful for about them!
Stay connected with the people in your world: Connect with someone in your world, and share with that person, something you are grateful for about them!
Hey VLCC family, I am grateful God has placed us together!
Joni Eareckson Tada puts it beautifully:
“From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” Acts 17:26
“Did you catch that? It’s no mistake that you are living in this century, this decade, and this very year. It’s no accident that you are residing in your town, living on the street you live, and with the neighbours you see every day. And is your circle of friends just coincidence? No way. God has determined it.
Just think. You could have easily been born in another time, another place…Of all the billions of possibilities, of all the millions of people with whom you could have been best friends, God determined the exact time and place where you should live. When you consider this amazing fact, your friendships take on a new and profound significance. God has a special reason, a unique design in each friendship. He chose to surround your life with these certain and treasured dear ones for good reasons.”
“Father, I stand in awe at Your wisdom and ways. You could have placed me anywhere on this earth, but you determined that I should live here and now. Teach me what this means. Show me Your special design for my friends and family. And thank You that each person you put in my life is precious in your eyes.”
