The church was handed over to the care of Dr Rev. Ps Graham and & Irene Baker and the name was changed to New Horizon Christian Centre. Ramp was added… Many African refugees made NHCC their home church…
In 2008, after 10 years of leadership under the Bakers, the church merged with Abundant Life Oasis which was pastored by Ps. Paul & Lynda McCarthy and after an initial period of transition Ps. Paul & Lynda took over as Senior Pastors of the church.
Five years later, in 2013, the church underwent major renovations in a bid to create more space as well as a more open and updated area for worship services. This included ultering, extending and re-sheeting the roof as well as knocking down interior rooms and creating a new stairwell. Now freshly painted and carpeted it was time to roll out a new name that encapsulated our vision for the church and the city of Blacktown all around us. And so we renamed the church Victory Life Christian Church.
